Kaputas Beach

The nearest sandy beach to Kalkan is Kaputas which is a 10 minute drive from the villa, on the beautiful coastal road toward Kas, the nearest town. You can go there by car, taxi or dolmus from the city center. There are not really any facilities there but in the season you can rent an umbrella and there is an old couple selling cold drinks and pancakes. The view is splendid as it is cut out into the rocks. Really worth a visit !

Patara Beach

The famous Patara beach, the birth place of "Santa Claus" has over 18 km. of golden sand. It takes about 25 mins by car but you can also take a dolmus at the taxi stand in the town centre.If you are going by car there is a barrier about 2Km from the beach where you will need to pay an entrance fee (combined - beach and archaeological site) which is currently 10YTL. The beach is out of bounds after closing hours to protect the loggerhead turtles that breed there from May to October. It is a prime protected nesting site.there is a seasonal beach bar that offers refreshments and light meals. Sun beds and umbrellas are also for hire here.

Kalkan Beach Park

The kalkan beach park is just down the villa.There are facilities such as sunbeds and umbrellas on platforms. There is a free boat service that takes you to Kalkan harbour. An elegant looking new Beach Club opened in June 2005, with palm tree lined platforms and a round restaurant that looks like a small circus tent from afar. The prices for the sunbeds are very reasonable and also the restaurant serves traditional home made meals at good prices.

Villa mahal

Part of the exclusive Villa Mahal boutique hotel on the cliff right above the water's edge not far from the villa.There are secluded platforms on various levels right above the water, with sunbeds and umbrellas that have been sympathetically arranged amongst the olive trees to offer shade and some privacy. It costs about £4 a day to hire a sunbed on the platforms here.You can also enjoy the beauty treatments available at the hotel such as Balinese massage amongst others, prices on request. All manner of water sports are also available, prices on request.

Club Patara

The Club Patara is nearby and is part of the extensive Patara Prince Resort where there are four restaurants, leisure facilities such as tennis, diving, etc. available. There are four beautiful swimming pools in the complex. You are allowed to use all the facilities within the complex as a guest of any resident or homeowner or by paying an entrance fee.

Kalamar Beach Club

This lively beach club is worth checking out for its water sports in particular. Probably this is the most popular beach club in Kalkan especially for families with children or young adults. You will need to take your car or a taxi to go there as it is in the Kalamar area of kalkan which is about a 10 min drive from the villa. They have a free transfer service which takes you there.

Kalkan beach

Next to the harbour Kalkan has a pretty, pebbly beach with clear water. The beach has been extended in recent years by the Kalkan Foundation as part of their development plan for improving the infrastructure of the town. Sun beds and umbrellas are for hire.
It may not be the best beach in the locality, but it's easy to pop into the nearby bars for a drink on the harbour or do some shopping or strolling around in the old town.


Palm Beach

Palm beach is in the area just next to the pataraprince resort in the direction of kalkan, the area is called comurluk.It has a small pebbly beach and excellent service and really good facilities.There is a platform on the sea for a quite sunbath and relaxing and also a little private bay for families with kids. Free boat (from marina) and free taxi pick up from the villa. Once a week every Wednesday night there is a BBQ with vast selection of freshly cought local fishes, calamari as well as with premium red meats and poultries.

Indigo Beach club

Indigo beach club was the former Ibo beach club and was transformed in the summer of 2008. It's situated at the end of kalkan harbour. They have an upper terrace where you can have a meal and refreshments. On the lower part which longs the sea the have a big platform with sunbeds and umbrellas. Extensive watersport facilites available. From time to time they have beach parties in the evening with BBQ.
